The photographs in this collection were taken between 2021 and 2023, as well as from September 2024 onward, after I began attending photography classes. As I reflect on these images, I realize there are words I couldn’t express at the time but now come to mind. Through my unique perspective, I sought to capture and convey the lessons I’ve learned in life through my subjects. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Mr. Park Seong-ju, the instructor of both the Photo Essay and Photography Aesthetics classes, who guided me on this journey, and to the members of the third Photo Essay class, who studied alongside me, with sincere appreciation.
I am a woman in my mid-50s, a mother of two, and an ordinary homemaker.
After developing an interest in photography, I began studying photo semiotics and photo aesthetics. This journey awakened a persistent thirst in me — a longing that couldn't be easily satisfied.
This thirst led me to dive deeper into photography, which gradually became an essential part of my life.
Rather than capturing the same landscapes as others, I seek to find emotions hidden within objects and express them through my own unique perspective.
With this approach, I have poured my heart into creating a photo essay e-book that reflects my thoughts and sensibilities.
